Isaac Bruce is set to retire a Ram. Yesterday he was “ceremonial” traded from the 49ers to the St. Louis Rams so he could retire with the team he started his career with. His 16 year career (14 with St. Louis) comes to end with him holding many of the Rams receiving records. To name a few: most career receptions (942), career receiving yards (14,109) and receiving touchdowns (84). He also leads the Rams in all-time postseason yards with 759 and is the only Rams player with four 100-yard receiving games in the playoffs. He teamed up with Torry Holt to form one of the most exciting WR duos while being part of the “Greatest Show on Turf” and caught the winning touchdown pass from Kurt Warner in the Rams 2000 Super Bowl win over the Tennessee Titans. The 4-time Pro Bowler ends his career ranking second all-time in receiving yards (15,208), fifth in receptions (1,024) and ninth in touchdowns (91).

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010BRADFORD IS NUMBER 1 PICK!
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010
The St. Louis Rams select QB Sam Bradford. This pick is brought to you by Teds Restaurant and Bar.
I think this is a great pick. Suh may have been the best player in the draft but drafting a DT will not improve your team as much as a QB will. The Rams make the safe pick and go with Bradford.
The Lions will pick Ndamukong Suh, the DT from Nebraska.
FWG and Jay go head to head predicting the 2010 NFL Draft
Monday, February 15th, 2010With NFL season completely over and not much news until the 2010 NFL Draft, Rob and I are going to go head to head picking for every NFL team in the 1st round of the 2010 NFL Draft. We will do a pick a day so make sure to check back everyday to see who your favorite team will (or should) take in the upcoming 2010 NFL Draft.
Pick 1 – The St. Louis Rams on are the clock…
Jay: I am really up in the air here. The Rams need a QB so bad but is Jimmy Clausen or Sam Bradford worthy of the number one pick? I can’t say I would take either of those guys if I had the first pick in the draft. With that said, I will select DT – Ndamukong Suh from Nebraska. Suh is an absolute force in the middle. He can disrupt an offense by himself. I know the Rams haven’t had much luck drafting defensive linemen (and that’s because all defensive linemen suck especially ones that wore number 65 at UConn) but I think Suh is a can’t-miss prospect. His size and strength should really give a boost to the Rams defensive front. Remember head coach Steve Spagnuolo built his defense with a strong D-Line in New York and I think he does the same here. The Rams will look to fill their need at QB in round 2.
FWG: Look, I’m not just saying they should take Suh because he’s a defensive tackle and I was one too. No, I’m saying they need him because he’s the best player in the draft, and he will help a Ram’s defensive that needs two things: good players and someone to rally around. Suh is both. Forget all this Clausen talk, drafting that blonde haired, fair skinned next gen Ryan Leaf is just poor decision making. Draft Defense, win championships. end of story.
